Skirt Styles That Suit You Best

Skirts is a not so old fashion trend which focuses on your body, the style and the shoes you are wearing. There's no rule about the length of the skirt. It depends on you and your choice as on what length you need and will it look good on you. If you have wonderful leg to flaunt then you can show them using a proper length skirt. If you have thin legs you can wear longer skirts till around mid calf. For people with heavy legs long skirt will be the best option.

Today, since the inception of skirts in the fashion circuit, skirts play and important part of women's fashion statements. Beautifully versatile, skirts can be doned up or down to look fancy or casual for every occasion ranging from a formal business meeting to a simple casual dinner date. Some of the different skirts shapes include bias cut, full, mini, pencil, A-line princess and tulip,

Different kinds of skirt styles

Balancing your vertical height with your body shape is all about the hemlines. The best skirt lengths for petites range from mini to mid calf worn with heels. Shorter hemlines visually elongate your legs, giving your body a more balanced appearance.

Pencil Skirt can be use by every body type but this will look best for women who has curvy figure because the slightly tapered bottom shows off the curve.
Just consider the length. It should be knee level or a little above knee. This works for both long and short waist.

Tube Skirt is good for women with curves, for petite and for women who has wider top and smaller bottom.

Tulip skirts have more fabric around the hips than pencil skirts, giving them the shape of an inverted tulip. Tulip skirts look good on most figure types, especially slender figures as tulip skirt fabric tends to add a little extra bulk around the hips. A-line skirts, also called princess skirts, can be especially flattering to plus-size figures, but can be worn well by all figure shapes.

Longer skirts that reach almost to the ground may be worn by plus size women, but only in moderation. The long skirt should be saved for times when dressing up a little more is required or when it is colder weather. Long skirts can be great on many plus size women. If you are a taller woman, you may choose to wear a longer skirt, but a longer skirt on a shorter woman may cause her to look shorter than she really is and should be avoided.

Bias cut skirts are cut across the fabric's grain on the diagonal. Cutting on the bias creates a flowing hemline that can seem ultra-feminine and romantic. Bias cut skirts can be long or short and have panels or multi-layers.

Column Skirt style is good in lengthening the body line so this will look best if you are tall and leggy. Rounded figure and women who has narrower hips can use this style. It also conceals big ankle and calves because the length stops on the ankle or just below it.
